Wow! Can you believe that it's already almost the middle of September?!?! Where is the time going? It's just crazy!
So guess what???
Christina finally got baptized!!!!
I was sad that I couldn't go up there, but I text her and she said that she is so happy to finally be a "mormon!" She is doing well and I am so glad that she can finally start to progress in the gospel. I think she is planning on going to the temple soon to do baptisms! I am so excited for her! I really want to come back when she goes through for her endowment! We will have to see about that one.
Elias is doing well in Florida. He calls us a couple of times a week and he said that he has a lot more work down there, which was something that he was lacking here. He said that he has read from the Book of Mormon with his cousin and his family and that they liked it a lot! What a little missionary he is turning out to be! We told him to contact the missionaries there and have them start teaching his cousins. :D
We are still working with Tim.. He is progressing slowly.... I have learned that with him you have to be VERY bold. You have to just tell him how it is and commit him hard. It's a hard thing for me to do because I am not a very bold/blunt person.. I have become more so since I have been out, but you have to adapt to your investigators needs. He came to church this week. That's his 5th or 6th time.. I joke with him all the time that we are gonna "dunk" him eventually. I know I was sent here for him.. and even though he frustrates me sometimes when he doesn't keep our commitments and when he just wallows in his own misery, I have felt very specific promptings to just be patient and hold out a little longer. Which is hard sometimes.. But I know that he is a child of God and that God knows how to take care of His children. So I am constantly praying for guidance on how to help His children. I have learned a lot about charity and Christ-like love for others. Even when they don't keep commitments or progress or show you that love back.. you still love them and pray for them and do all you can to serve them.
Other than that, not much else is going on. We are staying busy and working hard. :D
Hey I was wondering if someone had the book called the Infinate Atonement.. if you do, can I please, please, please borrow it?
