July 7, 2011

Wow! This week has been kind of jumbled. We had a wonderful time on Monday! We had a cookout with a bunch of missionaries up in Farragut. It was a blast!! Even when it started raining hard! We played frisbee in the rain and I loved every minute of it! After we came back to Knoxville and watched some fireworks and just chilled with a few close friends. It was a memorable day for sure!

Tuesday and wednesday were busy.. full of contacting less actives and preparing Angie for baptism. She is doing so well!!! We are so excited for her to be baptized on Saturday! It's been a challenge at church though because she has a 4 year old daughter that has some behavior issues... so last week in Sacrament meeting was NOT GOOD at all... but we smoothed it out and we are trying to come up with some ideas of how to keep her daughter entertained for an hour.

So life is going well. Just trying to stay busy and to work hard. I am also love living in Knoxville! It is so beautiful and so full of life! I could totally live here post-mission. The last couple of days, Sister Wood and I have been going running at the Sunspehere in downtown!! It's amazing! I love it! (p.s. I have lost 10 lbs!)

I finally met the new mission president and his wife!! And I love them so much!! I was really worried about the whole change, but I know that they are exactly what I needed! I am so grateful for them!! I am so excited to get to know them better!

So I have been thinking a lot about choices the last couple of weeks. This time of year is big for me.. it's when I decided to start dating Loral, It's when I almost died... remember that??? Was that really 2 years ago?... it's when I decided to serve a mission, it's when I got my mission call, went through the temple and left for the best place in the whole world.. And as I think about all of the decisions that I have made to get me to this point, I am so grateful for God's hand in my life... I am so grateful that my plans fail constantly because He has such a greater plan in store for me. I have learned so much from being a missionary and I am so grateful every day that I am so blessed to be here. I love it with all of my heart! I can't believe that I will go home in about 7 months... It's just going by way too fast.

Well, I will let you know how Angies baptism goes!

I love you all!!!
