Comet and cupid and doner and blitzen.. but do you recall your favorite sister of all?
Haha! So It looks like I will be staying here with sister Miner until Jan.. I am just glad that I don't have to do the whole transfer thing right before Christmas!
I am so super excited that I am going to be here in Dalton for Christmas! We already have Christmas Day jam packed with people to see! I am so excited! Now I can stop being scrooge and just enjoy my last Christmas on the mission. Can you believe that? Woof! It's going by so fast!
Well this past week was a pretty good week. We had an exchange with the Chattanooga sisters. Sister Shumway came down here and Miner went up there. I missed Shumway. I really love her a whole lot! She has become such a good friend to me. as have many of my companions. I just love them all!
We had a cool experience of someone knocking on our door this week! It was way unexpected. We had just gotten home from District Meeting on Friday and then we had a knok on our door. We thought that it was our team up, but it ended up being this guy that was looking to get ahold of our landlord because he wanted to see about renting an apartment here. Well we gave him the number for our landlord and he asked us if we were running a church out of our apartment. We said no, of course, and then we told him that we were actually missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We gave him a Restoration Pamphlet and we set up an appointment to come and teach him. We went back on Saturday and we had a good lesson with him! He came to church and we are going to see him tomorrow! God works in mysterious ways.. sometimes he even sends people right to your doorstep! I love that!
I am trying to see God's hand more and to be more grateful for what I have. I am truly grateful to have been born into the gospel. I am grateful to know that we have a Plan of Salvation which is centered around our Savior and that he is what makes our lives happy. I love this gospel so much and it brings such great joy to me to be able to share it with others!
