Wow! This week has been so so so good!!! I have truly felt God's hand in my life! I know that He is in this work so much!
Monday was a good day! We stayed in Dayton and the Athens Elders came over and we played baseball at a park! It was so much fun! I stink at baseball, but it was so nice to be outside and enjoy the beautiful weather we are having!! It has been in the 70's almost everyday this week. I think one day it was even in the 80's!! Monday night we went to Lisa's house and taught her the Plan of Salvation! It went well. She still had a lot of questions about the spirit world.. but we are doing our best to answer them!
Tuesday we went tracting and we found this awesome guy named Richard. He isn't going to a church right now and he said that he wants to at least come and check out our church.. we set up a return appointment, but when we went back on Wednesday, he wasn't there and we havent' heard from him since.. I hope that we will be able to get ahold of him again! He seemed really interested..
Wednesday we had a Relief Society activity for the 200th Birthday of the Relief Society. Lisa came!! She said that she had fun! She even brought her son Isaac. He is such a smart kid! I just love them!
Thrusday we did our weekly planning and then we went to dinner with a less active family. Sister Yarrington and I were working with them a little before she left and it was really frstrating because it is hard to teach them.. but Sister Shumway and I finally had an amazing breakthrough with the boys!! They have 2 sons.. Michael is 31 and James is 24.. They struggle to get a long and they both have some trama issues.. but we had the most spiritual lesson on the healing power of the atonement! It was so good!!!
Friday we had district meeting and the Elders in our district came tracting in our area for us. We didn't find anyone that day, but that's ok.. we were out working and that's all that matters. Sister Shumway and I had a really good lesson with a guy that had heart failure and he was telling us his miracle story.. It's amazing to see how God has blessed people and to see that they recognize that! We had 3 appointments cancle on us on Friday, but that's ok because we got to see Lisa!! We taught her about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and she is loving what she is learning! We are working with her to be baptized on April 2nd! She is praying to know if Joseph Smith is a prophet. I know that she will get an answer! She is the most sincere person ever! She really just wants to know what is true!
Saturday we had another appointment fall through which makes it a total of 5 this week.. but that's ok because we got to see Lisa again!! Haha! We were able to share the story of the Strippling Warriors with her and she liked it a lot! She is so awesome!!
Sunday was the best day ever!! We had Lisa come to church and we were both beaming.. and then to add to the joy.. James and Michael came to church!! And they even told us that they wanted to come!! They said that usually they only come because their parents wont stop nagging them.. but they went up to their mom on saturday and asked her if they could come to church with her!! MIRACLE! Lisa liked church! She even participated in the relief society lesson on the Word of Wisdom!! We heard a talk about tithing and she applied the word of wisdom to that!! She is SO LEGIT!!!! (can you tell I am excited about her?!?!?!?!?!!!) So then not only did Michael and James stay for the whole 3 hour block, they stayed another almost 3 hours!! We had a pot luck after church and then we taught them for 2 hours outside on the grass in front of our building! It was a really good lesson! We taught the the message of the Restoration. It's crazy because they both grew up in the church but they both had so many questions.. it just goes to show that each person has to be converted to the gospel!!
Man, this week has been so amazing!! I am so happy and I can hardly stop smiling!! I love it here in Dayton! It's been hard, but WOW has the success we have seen been worth it!!! Whew!
Well, I love you all!! Hope you have a wonderful week!!
